Kilby Li is a Hong Kong-based harpist who was born and grew up in Hong Kong. Under the guidance from Ann Huang, the principal harpist of Hong Kong Sinfonietta, she started harp lessons at the age of 10 at the Music Office and later obtained a Bachelor degree in Music from Chinese University of Hong Kong. Graduated from the master’s program of San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2015, she studied with Douglas Rioth, the principal harpist of San Francisco Symphony.

Apart from her busy teaching schedule at Hong Kong Harp Chamber and International Christian Quality Music School, she is also a freelance musician of Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Shenzhen Symphony.

 

Lok Yu Cecilia WAN has completed MMus and LRAM with merit at the Royal Academy of Music. She has studied oboe with Mr. Chan Kwok Chong, Mr. Yiu Song Lam, Miss Celia Nicklin and Miss Melanie Ragge.

Cecilia has achieved much as a solo musician as well as an orchestral player. During the two years in the London, She won the Nora Seary Award, Jardine Matheson Scholarship, ABRSM Scholarship and performed as a soloist on Revelation TV in New Malden. As an orchestral player, she worked with world famous conductors like Sir Colin Davis, Sir Mark Elder, Edward Gardner, Trevor Pinnock and Christian Thielemann in Queen Elizabeth Hall and Westminster Abbey. In 2014, she was selected to perform as principle oboist in Berlin Philharmonie with Deutsch-Skandinavische Jugend-Philharmonie.

Cecilia is now performing as a freelance musician and teaching in St Paul’s College, Bishop Hall Jubilee School and Yip’s Children’s Choral and Performance Centre in Hong Kong.
