The Salvi Harps story begins in the early 19th century in Vicenza, Italy, where Giranimo Salvi founded what would become one of the leading harp brands in the world. The family tradition continued with Giranimo's son Rodolfo, who later expanded the business to the United States. Among Rodolfo's children were the renowned harpist Albert Salvi and composer Aida Salvi.

In the modern era, Victor Salvi, a harpist himself, took over the family business with the vision of creating the best harp in the world and making the instrument more accessible. Today, Salvi Harps is known for its celebrated models like the Diana, Minerva, and Iris, which have been redesigned to preserve their charm while increasing resonance and volume to match the needs of larger performance venues.

Salvi's commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and innovation is evident in their use of advanced materials, finishes, and mechanisms.
