These words, spoken by eminent Spanish harpist Nicanor Zabaleta, serve as testimony to the musical and technical skill possessed by Angel Padilla Crespo. Born in Mexico City. As a scholarship student of the Royal College of Music in London, he worked with Marisa Robles, before graduating in 1990. He studied under Nicanor Zabaleta and in 1999, he obtained a Performer’s Diploma from Indiana University with Susann Mc Donald.

His career as a concert artist has prompted him to play recitals and concerti in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Europe, Latinamerica, Middle East and China.

As a soloist he has performed with The London Sinfonietta Orchestra, The Chamber Orcestra form The Kremlin, The Chicago Camerata amongst other and all the major orchestras in Mexico.

He has given masterclasses at Trinity College in London, The Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow, The Royal College of Music in Dublin, etc. Padilla Crespo has been given several awards, such as the Malcolm Sargent, Jac Morrison, and Ian Fleming (in England) the Andrés Segovia and José Miguel Ruíz Morales (in Spain) and the Barbera Foundation and Eleanor Fell awards(in USA).

His first solo consists of pieces from the 16th Century up to Prokofiev and Halffter. His second CD, includes works by composer like Albéniz, Guridi, Grandjany, Godefroid, Scarlatti, amongst others.
