Xavier de Maistre

A young, enthusiastic & talented musician who is now teaching at few music schools in Hamburg, Juilliard Schoold of Music in New York, Toho University in Tokyo, Trinity college of music in London after he won the 1998 USA Int'l Harp Competition Champion. Dan Yu

A charming & talented Harpist who is the first Chinese who ever won the Int'l USA Harp Competition Champion in 2001. Miss Yu is now the music director of Hong Kong Harp Chamber.

Amy Tam Wai-li


Amy Tam is well-known to the Hong Kong audience as a harpist currently active in regular performances with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra as well as a pedagogue instructing at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Music Office. Full scholarship recipient of the Molly McAulay Scholarship as well as graduate of the China Central Conservatory of Music, Amy also received her Master of Music (Performance) degree from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the Professional Diploma with distinction from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.


譚懷理


譚懷理畢業於北京中央音樂學院,隨後於香港演藝學院深造,並以一級榮譽取得專業文憑。 2003年,譚懷理獲頒麥高利夫人獎學金,負笈澳洲悉尼音樂學院修畢碩士學位。譚懷理現任教於香港演藝學院,香港中文大學及音樂事務處,並同時擔任香港管弦樂團及香港中樂團客席豎琴。


Ann Huang


After graduating from Taipei Hwa Kang Professional Arts School where she majored in Konghou, an ancient Chinese harp, Ann Huang was awarded a scholarship to study at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.


Upon graduation, Ann Huang joined the Hong Kong Sinfonietta as Harp Principal. Apart from her position at the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, she lectures part-time at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Music Office. She also freelances for the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Ann is also the Music Director of Hong Kong Harp Chamber.


黃士倫


黃士倫於1989年自台灣台北華岡藝術學校畢業,主修中國古典樂器──箜篌。在學期間,黃士倫曾於台北實驗國樂團及高雄市立國樂團兼任豎琴手一職, 並於中華電視台廣播電台錄放專輯。


黃士倫期後獲奬學金前赴香港演藝學院就讀,以優異成績畢業後旋即獲聘加入香港小交響樂團擔任豎琴首席。她曾多次獲邀演奏莫扎特的「長笛與豎琴協奏曲」,德布西的「神聖與世俗舞曲」,以及韓德爾的豎琴協奏曲,拉威爾的 「引子與快板」,皆獲好評。


黃士倫現任香港小交響樂團豎琴首席及香港豎琴堡音樂總監,並任教於香港演藝學院、香港中文大學及音樂事務處。


Barbara Sze Ying Lam


Barbara Sze graduated with Diploma in Performing Arts (Music) and Bachelor (Hons) Degree in Music from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts where she majored in harp performance with Mr. Christopher Sidenius, Principal Harpist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Barbara Sze was later awarded Advanced Certificate of Arts and Entertainment Management by the Binghamton University (SUNY), Postgraduate Diploma in Education by the Hong Kong Institute of Education and a Master of Arts degree in Music by the Hong Kong Baptist University.


As a freelance harpist, Barbara performs frequently with various orchestras such as the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Academy Orchestra, the SAR Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Bangkok Opera, China Film Philharmonic, China National Symphony Orchestra, International Orchestra of Italy, KBS Symphony Orchestra, and National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland. In 2009, Barbara was invited to be the adjudicator for the harp contest of the 27th Macau Young Musicians Competition.


A devoted harp teacher, Barbara coaches harp students at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Hong Kong Institute of Education, Hong Kong Music Office. In 2004, she established the Hong Kong Harp Academy to further promote harp playing and to groom promising harpists in Hong Kong.


施盈琳


施盈琳自幼學習鋼琴,十四歲起師從香港管弦樂團首席豎琴Christopher Sidenius於香港演藝學院學習豎琴,並先後修畢演藝文憑(音樂)及音樂學士(榮 譽) 學位(主修豎琴演奏)。在學期間施盈琳獲頒成龍慈善基金獎學金;肄業 後,施盈琳繼續深造,並先後獲美國紐約州立大學(賓厄姆頓)頒發文娛藝術行 政管理高級證書、香港教育學院頒發學位教師教育文憑,及香港浸會大學頒發 音樂文學碩士學位。


施盈琳經常擔任樂團特約樂師(豎琴),曾參與愛爾蘭愛樂交響樂團、韓國廣播電台交響樂團、中國交響樂團、中國電影樂團、意大利國際交響樂團、香港管弦樂團、香港小交響樂團、香港中樂團、香港演藝學院交響樂團、泛亞交響樂團、香港室樂團、香港城市中樂團、香港理工大學中樂團及SAR管弦樂團多次音樂會演出,並獲多間大型機構邀請作豎琴演奏。二零零九年七月更應邀為第二十七屆澳門青年音樂比賽擔任豎琴演奏評判。


施盈琳現職香港演藝學院、香港教育學院及康樂及文化事務署音樂事務處兼職豎琴導師,並於二零零四年成立香港豎琴音樂學院,藉此培育更多本地豎琴演奏家。


Dan Yu


Since winning the First Prize in the 5th USA International Harp Competition in 2001, Dan Yu’s lyrical interpretations, profound musicality, and technical mastery have captivated and dazzled audiences across three continents. She has performed solo recitals and chamber music concerts throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. In 2002-2003 season, Dan Yu appeared to great acclaim at Alice Tully Hall, New York, and Wigmore Hall, London. The New York Concert Review hailed her as “a unique and major talent capable of bringing the art of harp playing and the way the world views it to an entirely new dimension… …radiating so much joy… …it seems she’s already in a class by herself.”


Dan Yu has also appeared in solo recitals in Paris, Geneva, San Francisco, Seattle, San Jose, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Naples, Pittsburgh, Denver, Roanoke, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Atlanta, among others. In 2004, her Asian tour took her to Tokyo, Kobe, Fukui in Japan, and Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenyang in China.


As a soloist, she performed in 2004 with China National Symphony Orchestra at Beijing National Library Concert Hall and Wintergreen Festival Orchestra in Virginia.


Dan Yu’s performances have been broadcast on television and radio stations in the US and China Central TV 4 made a documentary of her performance cum interview, which was broadcast worldwide. Her debut CD “The Nightingale” was released on the Egan Records label in July 2002, and her second CD “Spring on the Moonlit River” was released in fall 2005. In addition to performing, she has also given masterclasses throughout the United States and China. In June 2007, Dan Yu served on the judge panel for the first Victor Salvi Award at Lyon & Healy, Chicago.


Born in Shenyang, China, Dan Yu began studying piano at the age of 6 and harp at 10 and went to the United States in 1993 to continue her harp studies. She holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, and an Artist Diploma from Indiana University. Dan Yu now resides in Hong Kong, where she is Music Director of the Hong Kong Harp Chamber and continues to concertize as a soloist.


于丹


于丹於2001年在美國「國際豎琴大賽」中勇奪「金獎」,成為有史以來華人在國際豎琴大賽中獲得最高榮譽的第一人。


于丹出生於瀋陽一個音樂之家。六歲開始學鋼琴,十歲學豎琴,考入瀋陽音樂學院後跟隨樂平秋教授研習豎琴演奏。于丹於1993年前赴美國《皮巴迪音樂學院》進修,師承Dr. Ruth Mglafield,並考獲學士及碩士學位。隨後就讀《印地安大學》,師從當代豎琴泰斗 Susann Mcdonald 攻讀藝術文憑。


1995和1996年于丹連續兩年在美國豎琴協會的Anne Adams比賽中獲首獎。在2001年的國際豎琴大賽中,于丹從十四個國家的三十七位參賽者中脫穎而出,勇奪「金獎」,獎品包括一台為是次大賽特別製造的二十四k包金 Lyon & Healy豎琴,價值達五萬五千美元。


2002年于丹在倫敦著名的Wigmore Hall及紐約林肯中心的Alice Tully Hall 舉行獨奏會,並引起熱烈的迴響。她嫻熟的技巧,行雲流水般的演奏,對樂曲深刻的詮釋和抒情的音樂深深感吸引了聽眾。《紐約音樂會樂評》雜誌稱:「如何將藝術融入豎琴演奏中,她表露了獨一無二的極高才氣」、「她似乎有一種能力可以讓兩隻手甚至每根手指一一聽起來都有不同的樂器色彩和織體」。


國際豎琴泰斗Susann Mcdonald說:「當她(于丹)回到中國,她將是中國最好的豎琴老師」。


于丹先後踏足多個歐美重要城市,包括倫敦、巴黎、日內瓦、紐約、三藩市、西雅圖、亞特蘭大、拉斯維加斯、泰國、北京、上海、瀋陽和香港等地,舉行獨奏音樂會和講學。


她灌錄了的鐳射唱片包括《夜鶯》及《春江花月夜》。


2008年6月21日于丹為善不甘後人,為《香港大學校友會》與《香港豎琴堡》合辦的「512行動慈善音樂會」擔任豎琴獨奏演出,為四川賑災作出貢獻。


2010年1月于丹與香港管弦樂團合作兩場精采豎琴協奏曲。


于丹現為香港豎琴堡音樂總監,為有意進修豎琴者提供指導,並定期舉行「大師班」及「講學」。


Jason Chang


Jason Chang, the current harp professor at Shanghai Conservatory, was born in Beijing, China. He studied at shanghai Conservatory .A Full scholarship grant then enabled him to study at the University of Arizona, with Professor Carrol McLaughin.


Jason Chang was the two-times winner of the Anne Adams Award National Harp Competition sponsored by the American Harp Society. He was the principle harpist with the Phoenix Symphony in the US and held the same position with the Central Ballet House Orchestra in China. As a soloist he is featured many times with Shanghai Symphony, Beijing Symphony, EOS Symphony and China Philharmonic. He has also been featured in Caribbean Music Festival, Beijing Harp Festival and Saint Petersburg Festival. In 2006 he sat on the jury of the Lille International Harp Competition in France. He will be on the jury of the St. Petersburg Golden Harp International harp Competition in 2011.


張小杰教授


張小杰生於中國北京。自幼隨母親幹培雪學習豎琴,畢業於上海音樂學院和美國亞利桑那大學,先後師從胡劍鳴和 Carol McLaughlin 博士。在美留學期間,兩度在全美豎琴比賽中獲獎。曾任美國鳳凰城交響樂團豎琴首席,中央芭蕾舞 團豎琴演奏員,現受聘為上海音樂學院豎琴教授。


作為當今中國樂壇上活躍的豎琴教育家和演奏家,張小杰的足跡遍及亞洲、歐洲和北美洲;常應邀與上海交響樂團、北京交響樂團和中國愛樂樂團等合作演出,也曾應邀在加勒比海音樂節,北京國際豎琴節和聖彼得堡國際豎琴節等大 型音樂盛會中舉辦個人獨奏演出;與此同時,他也受聘於國際豎琴比賽中擔任評委。


Jung Kwak


Harpist Jung Kwak, otherwise known as Harpist K, is recognized worldwide as one of classical music’s most captivating and gifted artists. Since October 1997, Jung has toured extensively with Maestro Zubin Mehta and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra across Israel, Europe and the Far East. Jung has appeared as a soloist with orchestras and chamber music ensembles around the world such as the Tokyo String Quartet, Israel Piano Quartet, Korean Broadcasting Symphony, Moscow Radio and Television Symphony–Tchaikovsky Hall, Geneva Chamber Orchestra, Prague Radio and TV Orchestra, Strauss Festival Orchestra Wien, Seoul National Symphony and many more. Jung has performed as a concerto soloist with famous conductors and artist such as Yoel Levi, Jean-Claude Casadesus, Zuohuang Chen, Myung Hoon Chung, Mark Gibson, Mark Thakar, Sumi Jo and Linda Eder to name a few. Jung is also the only harpist in the world to be selected three times in a row to perform at the ‘Focus on Youth’ concert at the World Harp Congress. She was also the concerto soloist at the closing concert of Prague and Geneva World Harp Congress.


Jung, using the nom de harpe Harpist K, made her Korean debut with Boston Pops Orchestra led by Keith Lockhart introducing two different kinds of electric harps to the Korean audience for the very first time. Jung has released 7 CD recordings ranging from harp solo, harp concertos to electric harp. Her first release, sold out its first and second printings. Currently Jung is with Universal Music and her first “new age pop-CD” called and reached “Number 1” in the Korean Pop and Classical Album Charts in just few days of releasing. In 2009, her recent classical recording of “Angelic Moment” was again loved by the Korean audience. This month Jung is to release her best of the best of her 5 albums.


Jung received her Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University with world renowned Susan McDonald and the Master of Music degree at the renowned Eastman School of Music with Kathleen Bride. At both schools, she received the prestigious Performer’s Certificate for her outstanding harp performance with unanimous votes by the judges.


Jung Kwak is the first harpist in Asia who made her mark with a continuous exploration of classical and electric harp. Jung is one of the leading harp teachers of Korea and has judged numerous national music and harp competitions of all kinds. She is currently on the faculty of Choong Ang University, Yae Won Music, Art, & Dance Institute, Seoul Art High School, Seoul Arts Center Prodigy Academy as well as is frequently asked to give lectures in various universities as well as organizations. She is also the Artistic Director for Harpyday Ensmble, a renowned Korean professional harp ensemble as well as MyungJi Little Angels Harp Ensemble for young children. Jung Kwak is the co-founder of Asian Harp festival and the honorary ambassador for the United Help for International Children Foundation. She is also the youngest member of the board of the prestigious USA International Harp Competition since 2000.


Lauyee Yeung


Described as “extrememly musical”, Lauyee has numerous performance experiences all over the world. She has just been awarded with distinction for her Master of Arts double degrees at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the University of London.


Lauyee started her musical journey at the age of 6, by the age of 7 she had already started giving regular public solo recitals. At the age of 10, she gained entry to the highly prestigious Attached Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing where she was awarded scholarships every year for her outstanding performance. After graduating with honors, Lauyee pursued further studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London for her Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts (Music) degree under head of Harp Department Skaila Kanga and renowned harpist Catherine White.


During her studies in London, Lauyee won numerous prizes including the 1st prize in the N.Borenstein harp competition, 1st prize of solo Bach competition. She was also awarded a Financial Assistance Bursary by the Royal Academy of Music and a scholarship by the Musicians Benevolent Fund to support her postgraduate studies.


Her interest in contemporary repertoire has led Lauyee to numerous premiering works by Richard Bissell, Gareth Woods, Rhian Samuel, Eric Crees, Joby Talbot. She was selected to give a solo recital in Amsterdam in June 2010, and to give several solo concerts in Switzerland, St Martin-in-the-Fields in London as well as for hospices and hospitals in the United Kingdom. An active member of the Royal Academy of Music Harp Ensemble, Lauyee performed with the group at the Duchess of Gloucester’s birthday celebrations and for the HRH Prince Charles’ 60th Birthday at the Royal Opera House in London.


Lauyee has taken up the position of Senior Teacher at the Hong Kong Harp Chamber since September this year. She currently resides in Hong Kong.


楊柳依


豎琴演奏家楊柳依,以優異成績考獲英國皇家音樂學院及英國倫敦大學雙碩士學位,先後在世界各地作公開演出,並獲讚譽為一位「極富音樂感」的豎琴演奏家。


楊柳依六歲開始接受正統音樂訓練,並於翌年開始定期舉行獨奏會,年僅十歲即獲北京中央音樂學院附屬學校取錄,期間每年均以傑出成績贏得獎學金;畢業後旋即前赴英國皇家音樂學院修讀音樂學士及碩士學位,先後師事豎琴系主任Skaila Kanga和著名豎琴家Catherine White。


在學期間楊柳依獲獎無數,其中包括N.Borenstein豎琴比賽冠軍和巴哈獨奏比賽冠軍。楊柳依憑著其優異成績,先後獲頒英國皇家音樂學院獎助學金及音樂家慈善基金會獎學金,支付其研究生學費。


楊柳依熱愛現代音樂,曾為多位作曲家的作品作首演,包括Richard Bissell、Gareth Woods、 Rhian Samuel、Eric Crees、Joby Talbot。楊柳依演出經驗豐富,今年六月獲邀於阿姆斯特丹舉行豎琴獨奏會,並曾於瑞士及倫敦聖馬田作豎琴獨奏演出。楊柳依曾在英國多間醫院及療養中心彈奏豎琴音樂,協助病人紓緩情緒,利用音樂幫助有需要的人。此外,楊柳依是英國皇家音樂學院豎琴合奏團的活躍份子,曾為告羅士打公爵夫人作生日獻奏及於倫敦皇家歌劇院為查理斯皇子六十大壽作皇室御前豎琴演奏。


楊柳依現居於香港,並於本年九月起擔任香港豎琴堡高級導師。


Yang Fan


Yang Fan began playing the violin at the age of six and has been having lessons with Professor Wang Jia Yang since 1992. Yang Fan was admitted to Shenzhen Arts School in 1997 where he began playing the piano and the viola. In 2001 he decided to major in viola. He graduated with outstanding results in 2003. He continued his studies with full scholarships in the Diploma programme of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts where he later finished his Bachelor Degree (Honours) of Music with first class honours in 2008 and obtained a Master’s degree of Music in Performance.


Yang Fan has much solo, chamber and orchestral experiences playing an extensive repertoire including early and contemporary music. Apart from excelling in academic studies, Yang Fan has also accumulated substantial teaching experience through active participation in music education activities. In the season of 2010-2011 Yang Fan joins the Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Orchestral Fellowships scheme of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.


楊帆


楊帆六嵗起學習小提琴,師隨王家陽教授至今逾十八年。1997年楊帆入讀深圳藝術學校,開始學習鋼琴和中提琴,2001年起主修中提琴。2003年楊帆以優異成績畢業,並取得全額獎學金入讀香港演藝學院,修畢文憑後,復取得一級榮譽音樂學士學位。楊帆繼續深造,完成表演音樂碩士研究生課程。


楊帆於獨奏、室内樂及樂隊演奏方面經驗豐富,經常參加國內外演出、音樂營和大師班等活動。楊帆不單學業成績優異,亦積極從事各類兼職教學活動,爭取教學經驗。2010-2011樂季,楊帆參與何鴻毅家族基金──香港管弦樂團駐團培訓計劃。


Ada Poon


Born in Hong Kong , Ada graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) with Bachelor of Music ( Hons ) and Advanced Diploma of Music. She performed in numerous chamber music concerts and master classes during her studies . After graduating from the HKAPA , she received a scholarship from Centre France Asié in Paris, and furthered her study in Conservatoire National de Région de Versailles and École Normale de Musique de Paris with Professor Pierre-Yves Artaud and Professor Christian Cheret . She was later awarded both the Diplôme supérieur d'enseignment and the Diplôme d'exécution in ENMP . Ada participated actively in the master class held by Professor Peter-Lukas Graf in the International Summer Academy Mozarteum in Salzburg , Austria in 2003 . In the same year , she won the first prize of Concours de Flûte de Rogé r Bourdain .


Ada was invited by RTHK Radio 4 as guest artist for interviews and recitals after her studies in Paris. In 2009, she gave her debut recital in Hong Kong at the Hong Kong City Hall. Besides performances, Ada is also enthusiastic about music education.


潘安婷


潘安婷畢業於香港演藝學院音樂系並考獲音樂學士(榮譽)學位及長笛演奏深造文憑。在學期間積極參與各室樂表演及大師班。隨後於2003年在法國考獲獎學 金入讀國立凡爾賽音樂學院,完成室樂演奏文憑,並於巴黎師範音樂學院師隨Professor Pierre-Yves Artaud 和 Professor Christian Cheret 取得長笛演奏文憑及長 笛高級教學文憑。同年夏天,潘安婷參與彼得盧卡斯‧格拉夫於奧地利薩爾斯堡International Summer Academy Mozarteum舉行的大師班;及後參加 Concours de Flûte de Rogé


潘安婷於2005年回港後獲香港電台邀請於第四台擔任獨奏嘉賓及接受訪問;2009年於香港大會堂舉辦個人演奏會。除參與公開演奏外,並積極從事音樂教學工作。
